Since the Dascom DC-7600 is a re-transfer card printer, you need not only ribbon, but also the appropriate re-transfer films. Only by combining the two can be printed. With this technique, printing is not done directly on the card, but first on the re-transfer film, which is then applied to the plastic card at about 200 degrees. The advantage is the much better print image as well as the completely over-the-edge card printing.

Two different ribbons are also available for the re-transfer printer. With the Dascom DC-7600 you can also create an individual watermark that fluoresces under UV light.
